The young entrepreneurs from JKHA fifth grade have been working all year on the TREP$ Entrepreneurship Education program. The TREP$ program uses project-based learning to teach financial literacy and life skills to students as they build a business of their own creation.
Throughout the course of this six-month enrichment program, students learned how to pitch a product, how to market a product with digital media, how to secure investors, how tzedaka factors into business profits and how to build a brand.
The students’ one-night-only TREP$ marketplace opened last week, marking the apex of the program, during which students officially launched their businesses, selling their individually-made products to real customers. The fifth grade entrepreneurs were excited to showcase their hard work to the school community.
