Representatives from PwC came to JKHA to introduce students to the basics of saving and investing. They spent time with both the third and sixth grades, and in developmentally appropriate ways discussed these topics. Students had the opportunity to share their own perspectives on the advantages and disadvantages of saving for a short term goal versus a long term goal, and they used role playing to plan a timetable for achieving their goals. The students got acquainted with vocabulary like budget, expense and income, and at the end of the lesson the students took a brief quiz on the key terms they had gleaned from the program.
