To mark the birthday of Dr. Seuss, and in conjunction with Read Across America, lower school enjoyed reading together with their early childhood younger reading buddies. They read his books together then went on a rhyming hunt to write down all of the rhymes they found.
Later in the week, RKYHS 12th grade students partnered with kindergarten and first grade students for a special Hebrew language reading buddy activity. The program began with a side-by-side read aloud of Dr. Seuss’:Green Eggs and Ham: in both Hebrew and English to compare and contrast rhyming and language in each. Students then broke into small groups to read Hebrew books together and to work on Hebrew language review activities.
