Each year Leket Israel, an Israeli National Food Bank, invites students to compete for a winning design that will be incorporated into the 2015 Leket Israel Float for the Celebrate Israel Parade. Leket receives over 155 fantastic submissions crafted by more than 180 students. Among the JKHA students who participated, JKHA Lower School students Ariel Hammerman (4th grade) and Galit Usdan (3rd grade) won second place in the tough float design contest, On Sunday, May 31st, Ariel and Galit will ride up Fifth Avenue on the Leket Israel float.
