Kitah Gimmel students at JKHA were excited to welcome Rashi into their classrooms! In honor of the grade’s beginning the study of Rashi’s commentary on the Torah, JKHA assistant principal Rabbi Srolovitz interviewed “Rashi.” The students learned about Rashi’s life, his family, and his works on both the written and oral Torah. Rashi explained why his commentary is written in a different script and how he got the answers to his questions. Rashi left students with the advice to never give up in their Torah learning, that they all have the potential to become talmidei chachamim.
