Livingston—Three years ago, JKHA faculty members Ruth DiGiovanni and Bluma Acocella had a vision. They wanted to create a place where local families could come together with their young children. From that desire, Gan Ktan was born.
The program is officially intended for families with children ages 1 through 4, although younger participants are welcome. It meets one Sunday every other month during the school year and is open to all area families with young children andis provided free of charge. It is a parent and child class which includes free play time in an age appropriate environment. Gan Ktan offers circle time, books, songs, a craft project and, of course, snack time.
“[Our] target [is] any family looking to make connections with other families, and if we can help facilitate that, we are happy,” said DiGiovanni.
The next class will be held on April 19. For more information, contact [email protected]
