JKHA Welcomes New Director Of Student Services and RKYHS Welcomes New Faculty Members

JKHA is pleased to welcome Lower School Director of Student Services Marni Weinberg. Ms. Weinberg worked in student services at SAR Elementary School and served as the director of student services for the HAFTR Middle School. She attended the University of Michigan and New York University, attaining degrees in linguistics and speech and language pathology. Ms. Weinberg joins the JKHA Learning Center with a passion for integrating executive functioning skills into classroom instruction and has experience working with students with language-based learning disabilities, auditory processing disorders and social and pragmatic language difficulties. Her leadership skills and passion for working with families will enhance the parent-school partnership.

The RKYHS history department welcomes Dr. Jeffrey Hering. Dr Hering is the former history department chair at Don Bosco Prep and an adjunct professor of history, sociology, anthropology, micro & macro economics and political Science at Bergen Community College. Before realizing his dream of becoming an educator, Dr. Hering spent over 21 years in the financial industry. Dr. Hering earned a BA in history and political science and holds a MA in liberal studies from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He has a doctor of education degree from National American University.

Mr. Blake Michael will be joining the RKYHS faculty teaching both math and Spanish. A graduate of Cornell University, he began his teaching career with Teach for America. He taught in Oklahoma while earning his master’s of public administration from the University of Oklahoma. A current part-time law student at Fordham University, he is interested in the application of mathematical concepts to the legal field. He stresses the intersection of different subjects while encouraging students to prepare for their national exams.
