On the first day at school since the world marked 100 days of captivity for the hostages, JKHA middle school marked the 101st day and this point of the war, collectively dedicating 100 minutes to focus on the hostages and Israel. Students said Tehillim, recited the name of each hostage. All JKHA students from early childhood through eighth grade wrote a “wish letter” that was sent through the organization UnitED to Hostage Square in Tel Aviv to be part of a “Tree of Wishes” from children around the world and displayed in connection with Tu B’Shevat.
The middle school program concluded with the singing of “Acheinu” and “Hatikvah” all together. All middle school students donned the number 101 written on tape to keep the hostages top of mind.
