Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

All three divisions of JKHA and RKYHS celebrated Shushan Purim with vigor. Some of the many activities that students enjoyed included a costume parade, chagigot, Hamantashen bake-off, faculty/student basketball game, talent show, and a variety of interactive games.

The highlight of the day for JKHA students was a carnival run by the sixth through eighth grades, which raised money for FDR (The Foundation For Diabetes Research); this was the winner in the election day mitzvah mania campaign earlier in the year. Sixth grader Macabee Yablon campaigned for this idea in the mitzvah election on election day. The carnival was complete with games, rides and the chance to “dunk a dad for a dollar” with several school fathers and administration members volunteering to get dunked. Together the students raised $1200 for the Foundation for Diabetes Research.
