JNF to Hold 2016 National Conference in NYC

New York—Jewish National Fund (JNF), the world’s premier Zionist organization—credited with building modern-day Israel—will welcome and host top Israeli officials and Jewish-American leaders in philanthropy at its National Conference 2016 in New York City from September 16-19.

JNF’s National Conference 2016 will feature a “Who’s Who” of Americans, Israelis and hundreds of millennials (known as JNFutures) and young adults attending a College Summit as they explore and expand the relationship of the American Jewish community with Israel. The National Conference will also serve as a platform to showcase the vision of JNF and how it provides a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land and people of Israel.

“JNF will bring together some of the biggest names in Israel and the United States to explore in depth the connection between those in the Diaspora and Israel,” said Russell F. Robinson, CEO of JNF. “All of our special guests and panelists have strong ties to Israel and will impart important perspectives on how that relationship has evolved and continues to grow. Unlike any other program today, our popular College Summit will include hundreds of student leaders from across the country interacting with each other, Israeli entrepreneurs, innovators and politicians to discuss the challenges on U.S. campuses today, and experience one-of-a-kind networking.”

JNF’s National Conference annually attracts more than 1,000 participants from across the U.S. This year, some of the scheduled speakers include: Ronald S. Lauder, JNF Chairman of the Board; Harvard Law School Professor Alan Dershowitz; Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon; Ayelet Shaked, Israel’s Minister of Justice; Bruce Feiler, New York Times best-selling author of “Walking the Bible”; Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman, Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations; Knesset Member and Zionist Union Chair Merav Michaeli; Wall Street Journal Deputy Editorial Page Editor Bret Stephens, and many others. Conference co-chairs are David and Laureine Greenbaum of New York, NY.

“No country in the history of the world has contributed more to humanity in the first 68 years of its existence than Israel,” said Prof. Dershowitz. “I am very pleased to join Jewish National Fund at their National Conference as JNF’s work in Israel is a major part of that success story.”

JNF strives to bring an enhanced quality of life to all of Israel’s residents and translate these advancements to the world beyond. JNF is “greening” the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks across Israel, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel’s water supply, helping develop innovative arid agriculture techniques and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.

Driven by a deep sense of purpose and responsibility, JNF is in the midst of its unprecedented One Billion Dollar Roadmap campaign. The campaign—which takes us forward through Israel’s 75th jubilee—matches an ambitious financial target with a comprehensive strategic vision, enabling JNF to connect American Jews to the people of Israel as never before and implement unique projects to strengthen Israel for the long-term.

Jewish National Fund’s 2016 National Conference will be held September 16-19, 2016, in New York City at the New York Hilton Midtown. For more information, please contact Adam Brill at 212.879.9305 ext.222 or [email protected] or visitjnf.org/nc.
