at Y Summer Camps in Union

The YM-YWHA of Union, Summer Camp Program, is still accepting enrollment. Camp begins on Tuesday, June 28. Under the direction of Rabbi Yisroel Rich, assisted by Rabbi Natan Kapustin and Dena Lichtman, the four- or eight-week summer program promises an exciting summer in a Torah environment. Camp Chaverim begins at Primer or Kindergarten levels and goes up through age 15. Older campers travel more frequently and there are separate girls and boys divisions. Sports, swimming, Jewish learning, davening, crafts, cooking, nature, drama, music, sports clinics, contests and special events all make for an unforgettable summer. For the youngest children (age 2 1/2–4 1/2), Camp Ahava offers a Jewish-type “Gan” Program…with the youngest campers also experiencing the many activities but in a closer supervised structure. Kosher lunch is catered while on campus. The Y boasts an indoor and outdoor private swimming pool, two ga-ga courts, double gymnasium and dance studio. Daily transportation is provided to Springfield, Summit, West Orange, Maplewood, Short Hills and Livingston.
