The Jewish People’s Philharmonic Chorus  4:30PM will be performing its annual concert, this year titled:

“THE SPIRIT OF RESILIENCE”

The concert celebrates the poetry of Abraham (Avrom) Reisin, the music of Max Helfman and Mark Zuckerman, and the heroism of those in the

Warsaw Ghetto.

Among the works will be an excerpt from the oratorio Benyomin III (“Benjamin the Third”), based on a story by Mendele Moykher Sforim (“the Grandfather of Yiddish Literature.

Book Review – The World We Found by Sherri Klinger Teaneck Jewish Center – New Beginnings for Mature and Retired Adults.

Sherri, a product of the Teaneck JC and daughter of the late Robert and Ann Klinger will review the book The World We Found by Thrity Umragar, and will reflect on her own memories of growing up in Teaneck and their influence on her. Refreshments will follow

Sunday, June 23rd  5:30PM Eco –Cruise with the Friends of the Hackensack River begins at the Red Roof Inn, Secaucus

Narrated ECO-CRUISE on the Hackensack River from Secaucus to Hackensack. Trip goes through the Meadowlands and one can see familiar things “from the river’s point of view”.
