(Ma’ayanot sports) Earlier this week the Ma’ayanot JV soccer team hosted SAR for their second game of the season. The first quarter was close with two goals from the Rapids and the Sting pushing back with a goal. As the game played on, the Rapids got even more aggressive. Sophomore Aliza Guzman had one shot in goal early in the game to help build the team momentum.

Sophomore captain Meital Rimberg had an amazing game banging in seven goals total including a penalty shot. Sorah Fisher also knocked in two from the defensive line and added an assist.

Relentless defense from sophomore Bella Einhorn kept the Sting away from the Rapids’ goal and she helped with a couple of assists. Mia Polonetsky was a force on offense with a couple of assists. Freshmen Irene Lipstein, Yakira Houpt and Yedida Baer played cohesively and had a total of six shots on goal, with Lipstein having one assist.

Sophomore goalie Chana Bin Nun had 11 big saves including stopping a penalty kick.

Final score 11-2. Ma’ayanot is currently 2-0 on the season.
