The JCC is registering for its March session of this popular game played in the comfort of its indoor gymnasiums, where people can stay active and fit all season with master teacher Toby Silva. Pickleball is one of fastest growing sports in the U.S. It combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis, where two or four players use light weight paddles to hit a wiffle-like ball over a net. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but the fun part is that it can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for players.
Pickleball Beginner Clinic: Offered on three Mondays: March 16, 23 and 30, 10 a.m. or 11 a.m., $65/$90
Pickleball Open Play: Wednesday and Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.,
$10/$15 per session or purchase an eight-session punch card for $65/$90 payable in the gym during open play sessions.
