The Kids Club at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades will be holding an Open House on Sunday, January 7, from 12 to 3 p.m., where families can meet with the JCC children’s department director and learn firsthand how this comprehensive afterschool program can provide a seamless end to a child’s school day. Offering fun and non-stop excitement all in one safe location, the program, for children in grades K to five, features door–to-door transportation from most local schools to the JCC, homework help in English and Hebrew, afternoon snacks and special activities such as sports, arts and crafts, holiday celebrations, mitzvah projects and more.
Kids Club is also a great place where children can unwind with lots of games and books, enjoy open playtime in the JCC gyms and playground or relax in a fun lounge with friends. The program is staffed with experienced counselors. For an additional fee, children can choose from a wide range of special afterschool classes including arts and crafts, science, sports, swimming, dance, drama, music and other exciting options. Children enrolled in afterschool classes are escorted to them as part of the program.
The program runs Monday-Thursday (and seasonal Fridays) from the end of the school day until 6 p.m. Cost varies between $28 and $35 per day depending on number of days/weeks. Participants also save $25 on many of the afterschool classes.
Families must be JCC members to participate. For more information contact Leron Bensoussan, children’s department director, at 201-408-1467 or [email protected] or visit jccotp.org/kids-club.
