(Courtesy of Kaplen JCC on the Palisades) The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades recently hosted a free event entitled “Press Play at the J: Fall Expo,” for people of all ages to explore all that the JCC has to offer. The experience was designed to start 5783, the New Year, with a bang and welcome people to the JCC.
Guests took advantage of the family-friendly programming including an instrumental petting zoo to explore music in all forms sponsored by the Thurnauer School of Music, an interactive bubble show, a fun magician and stations to make holiday note cards. Adults of all ages enjoyed a book fair and meeting JCC staff to ask questions about the gamut of programs offered at the J. Musical entertainment with a professional DJ held the imagination of children and adults alike.
A free delectable falafel buffet where people socialized together on the terrace was a big hit. Topping the refreshments off was a make-your-own candy apple station, which attracted kids of all ages.
The JCC prides itself on offering something for everyone—families, youth, teens, adults and seniors—all under one roof.
If you were not able to make it to the Fall Expo, the JCC will be holding a free community Open House on Sunday, October 23, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
