Tenafly–Looking to gain skills that can help you re-enter the work place? New ways to stay engaged in our world? The EGL Foundation Computer Center is the place to learn. It provides a friendly, low-pressure environment where students can acquire computer knowledge in a comfortable, welcoming setting. Participants receive personalized attention from our competent instructors, utilizing modern instructional aids and a specialized curriculum. Students are assisted by very patient coaches for a most enjoyable learning experience.
The Open House, on Tues., Sept. 23, will begin with refreshments at 10:30 a.m. and will include free info on “Most Interesting Websites,” and a chance to enter to win a free computer course, meet our wonderful instructors, learn about class offerings, and attend a practice session in the computer center with hands-on instruction and coaching. Fall courses begin Oct 6. Those who register by September 30 get 20% off classes.
Classes are small and meet once or twice a week in our fully equipped computer facility. Each student has the use of an individual computer with the Windows operating system (OS) and receives a detailed course manual. Flash drives are used in class and are available at a discounted rate. Students are encouraged to own a computer to reinforce information they learn in their various courses. A two-hour free weekly supervised practice session is available with every course.
SeniorNet membership is required for courses: $44/year, $33 to re-new. For more information, call Michele Schaffer, 201-408-1496 | [email protected].
