The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades Waltuch Art Gallery, located at 411 E. Clinton Avenue in Tenafly, New Jersey, is seeking artists, photographers and hobbyists of all ages and backgrounds to participate in the JCC’s center-wide “Israel at 70” celebration in April. To proudly acknowledge Israel’s 70 years of independence, the JCC will be holding a series of special events, programs and activities and the month-long community exhibition in the Waltuch Art Gallery is one way that the JCC will showcase its appreciation for Israel, its people, and its culture and history.
Artwork can be paintings, photographs and mixed-media works relating to Israel, providing a great opportunity for local artists to see their work exhibited on the walls of the JCC. Exhibitors do not need to be Jewish to participate. All submissions must be in by March 15 for consideration.
The Waltuch Art Gallery is a community space that exhibits thematically Jewish artwork, or art produced by Jewish artists. All gallery exhibits are free and open to the community; JCC membership is not required. All artwork is available for purchase and a portion of the proceeds support invaluable cultural arts programming at the JCC.
Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (winter hours); closed Saturday and Jewish holidays. For more information on gallery exhibitions or submission guidelines, or questions about the April show, contact Nina Bachrach at 201-408-1406 or [email protected].
