(Courtesy of Kaplen JCCOTP) The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly will hold a free and open to the community Membership Open House on Sunday, October 10, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Given the challenges of the last year and a half, the JCC is thrilled to open its doors to the entire community to see the breadth and depth of our wellness programming. New and prospective members can tour the facility, see our fitness programming first hand and meet our staff in-person to learn about the exciting programming we offer for families and individuals of all ages to improve their health. All safety precautions are in place to mitigate the risk of COVID-19.
“Our goal is to engage our community by showcasing who and what we are as a welcoming community center,” says JCC CEO Jordan Shenker. “It’s the perfect opportunity to show our community the benefits that come with JCC membership for the whole family.”
Programs and facilities available to JCC members include 2 state-of-the-art fitness centers, an outdoor splash park & pools, year-round indoor pools, complimentary group exercise classes, in-person, virtual live classes and enjoy the J-On Demand library, CPR-trained swims instructors & lessons for all ages, basketball & tennis courts, and access to a luxurious spa featuring massages and facials. Members enjoy discounts to the Early Childhood Center, Neil Klatskin Summer Camps, Thurnauer School of Music, School of Dance and Drama, cultural and learning programming for adults, and more.
The Kaplen JCC is offering a special promotion in connection with the event – those who join during the open house will receive a free gift. Plus, there will be no registration fee and no membership payment until November, 2021!
Additional details of the day include a free Yoga experience prior to the open house that is open to all. Rise and shine with Yoga on the Lawn, at 9-10 am, featuring JCC Yoga instructors, Jill Schwalbe and Alison Miller. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Kaplen Gymnasium.
