Keiser Hat Trick Lifts TABC Storm Past HANC

The TABC Varsity Hockey team traveled to Long Island last Motzei Shabbat to take on the HANC Hurricanes. The Storm were looking to officially cement their spot as the #1 seed in the Western Conference. Less than six seconds into the game, TABC struck first off a shot by senior Bentzion Keiser to set the tone early. A few moments later, Aryeh Simon ‘25 placed a perfect shot into the bottom right corner off a great pass from linemate Yonatan Brothman ‘25. While HANC pulled one back a few minutes later, with just 17.4 seconds left in the opening period, Aiden Rauzman ‘25 fed Keiser his second goal of the night and helped the Storm reclaim their two-goal lead at the first intermission. In the second period, the Hurricanes had a man advantage but could not capitalize as Keiser scored a shorthanded goal to complete the hat trick. While the Hurricanes were able to score another, they found it difficult to get past senior goalie Shia Forgash throughout the night and went scoreless in the final period. Simon put a bow on the game with his second goal of the night off a slapshot early on in the last frame and TABC won by a score of 5-2, clinching the #1 seed after a stellar regular season.
