Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

The yeladim of Kol Chaverim Preschool in Fair Lawn celebrated Tu B’Shevat. In science they explored the life cycle of an oak tree, studied the parts of a tree and sorted animals who live in a tree. They learned all about the sheva minim and reviewed the Hebrew and English words of each. The yeladim compared the cold winter trees of America to the beautiful skadiya trees of Israel and concluded the unit with a Tu B’Shevat seder where they tasted the sheva minim and more. They also sang, ‘Tu B’Shevat Higiyah’ and ‘Yom Huledet Sameach’ to the trees.
