The newest addition to the Orthodox Jewish landscape in Fair Lawn, Koleinu, invites the wider community to join them as they welcome Rabbanit Dr. Liz Shayne this Shabbat, June 29 to celebrate her role as its first halachic adviser.

Rabbanit Shayne brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role at Koleinu. She will provide halachic guidance for Koleinu’s ritual-related activities through the next year. As the director of academic affairs at Yeshivat Maharat and an alumna of the program, she has dedicated her career to advancing women’s leadership in the Orthodox community. Her passion for Torah study and commitment to making it accessible to everyone aligns perfectly with Koleinu’s mission.

Founded two years ago by a group of dedicated community members, Koleinu is a welcoming and inclusive Jewish community where everyone is valued—no matter a person’s background, orientation, or level of observance.
