With the June release of Torah MiEtzion: Bamidbar, Maggid Books is proud to announce the completion of the five-volume Torah MiEtzion series.
The Torah MiEtzion series is a collection of essays on the weekly Torah portion by selected faculty of Yeshivat Har Etzion. The essays use an innovative methodology called “the literary-theological method” which combines traditional interpretation with the scholarly disciplines of literary analysis, geography, archeology, and history, to produce new, eye-opening understandings of the biblical narrative. Inspired by Rabbi Yehuda Amital, (zt”l), and Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein—founding heads of Yeshivat Har Etzion—the methodology has proliferated throughout other advanced learning institutions within the Modern Orthodox world, reviving and revolutionizing the study of Tanach.
