Kosher Pop-Ups Presents Teaneck’s Own ‘Pies and Fries’ and Froyo by Berrylicious

Teaneck—Kosher Pop-Ups, a brainchild of David Rozner of Berrylicious, the Queens treat emporium, is popping up in Teaneck for Pesach! The restaurant, which will be based in the Avenue Event Space at 1382 Queen Anne Road, will feature an exciting array of non-gebrokts pizza and fries by Pies and Fries, froyo by Berrylicious, soup by Stu the Soup Guy and his Slurpin’ Good Soup, as well as fresh-baked kosher-for-Passover muffins, drinks, salads and coffee.

Stuart Reichman is heading up the Teaneck pop-up. A chef for over 30 years, Reichman is a well-known Teaneck resident. He is an Arzei Darom member and Yeshivat Noam and Frisch parent who has previously provided his chef expertise to Fish of the C’s, Slurpin’ Good Soup and last year at Bumbleberry Yogurt, which was also open during Pesach with many memorable flavors, including maror and charoset.

The restaurant is under the supervision of Rabbi Zushe Blech. All products sold will be non-gebrokts and cholov Yisroel. Pies and Fries can be found on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/piesandfriespassoverpopup/ and the website is piesandfries.mysimplestore.com for pre-orders with special pricing.

The hours are as follows: Friday, Erev Pesach: 10-4; Sunday after chag: 10 p.m.-2a.m., Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.-midnight; and Thursday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

For those heading to a Mets game or anywhere near Queens during Chol Hamoed, David Rozner of Berrylicious wants to remind everyone that their store is located at 69-48 Main St. Flushing, NY, 11367, in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. “It’s less than 10 minutes without traffic from Citi Field. There are Mets home games each night of Chol Hamoed, so we look forward to serving many baseball fans from all over,” said Rozner.

Berrylicious’ kosher certification is provided by the Vaad of Queens. Everything is non-gebrokts. The phone number is 718-59-BERRY. Open at 7 a.m. and close at 5p.m. on Friday and Thursday Erev Yom Tov, and 1 a.m. Chol Hamoed nights.

Berrylicious has 12 self-serve flavors that are cholov Yisroel or pareve, plus 24 toppings. “Some of our popular flavors include cookies and cream, red velvet, almond butter, chocolate hazelnut, orange creamsicle sorbet and numerous others. We offer an extensive drink menu including shakes, smoothies and an espresso bar. We make delicious non-gebrokts muffins fresh each day that many customers feel the need to confirm the kosher-for-Pesach status,” he told The Jewish Link. Rozner added Berrylicious is offering kosher-for-Pesach non-gebrokts pizza in Queens this year as well.
