On Motzei Shabbat, the Kushner Cobras varsity basketball team traveled to Yeshiva University’s Max Stern Athletic Center to face the MTA Lions.
Kushner opened the game with a Nadav Twizer 3 pointer which would be the first of his game high 21 points. After Kushner jumped out to a 9-2 lead, the Lions started to claw back hitting some three pointers of their own.
Kushner took a seven point lead into halftime, however MTA kept chipping away and took a three point lead early in the fourth quarter. Kushner fought back led by senior forward Gabe Plotsker who finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds and took a six point lead. Some free throws clinched the game for the Cobras who won by a final score of 48-39 and improved to 3-1 in league play.
