The Kushner Cobras traveled to Brooklyn to take on the upstart 2-0 Sharee Torah Stars last week. After a close first quarter the Cobras took a seven point lead to the halftime locker room. They expanded their lead to 12 mid-way through the fourth quarter, but Sharee Torah wouldn’t go quietly. Sam Raab hit a clutch free throw to help seal it for the Cobras who won 51-48 to improve to 2-0. Sam Bernstein led Kushner with 15 and Raab had 13. Gabe Plotsker, Koby Stadtmauer and Zach Tuchman all contributed with key defensive plays and rebounds. The Cobras travel to Deal to play Hillel Thursday and look forward to their home opener on Monday evening against Solomon Schechter of Long Island.
