Kushner Lady Cobras Complete Season Sweep Over Bruriah

(courtesy of kushnercobras.com) The Kushner Cobra girls completed the season sweep over Bruriah by winning the best of five match in four games. This match was made closer than it needed to be as the Kushner gals “spotted” the Bruriah crew by missing eight more serves than Bruriah. The Cobras secured the match win with superior passing attack. Except for one eight point run, they limited their opponents to only two 3 point runs.

The Kushner gals found their rhythm with Hila Gilmore as setter. She recorded her personal high of 18 assists with 73 set attempts. Meanwhile Pnina Lerman was “zoned into” Bruriah’s play by putting 53 of 66 passes into Hila’s hands to start the offense. Genah Grossman took over the offense with 16 kills and block. Cynthia Lando also added to the defensive point grab with three blocks for point!

The win pushes the gals back into fourth place, where they now control their own playoff hopes if they can continue to play well and win.
