Ladino Couture Turns Your Ideas Into Custom Creations

Ari Ladino, an internationally known fashion designer, has recently opened an atelier in Teaneck to create bespoke women’s, men’s and children’s clothing. Instead of endless shopping for the perfect suit or dress for your family simcha, bring your vision to Ladino Couture, where your ideas are translated into sketches and then into exquisite garments. Whether you collaborate closely or let Ladino’s intuition guide the process, the result is impeccable and surprisingly cost-effective.

Ladino meticulously crafts each piece by hand, ensuring every custom garment retains a luxurious touch. On a typical day, he might be creating dazzling dresses for a Broadway show or tailoring a suit from the finest wool. “I love making clothes and creating different things,” he said. “From style and patterns to the final stitch, I am involved in every part of the process.”

The designer recognized a glaring gap in the market for high-end custom simcha wear. While bridal shops are common, bespoke options for everyone else are rare. Ladino’s service integrates every step, from design to final stitch, ensuring superior quality without the hidden costs of outsourcing. The result? Custom-made clothing for anyone or the entire family at a cost comparable to shopping at a high-end department store.

Clients often come to Ladino with magazine clippings or a simple idea of color and style. Ladino sketches on his iPad, crafts the pattern, sources the fabric, and brings the vision to life. Typical turnaround times are as short as two months. Even last-minute requests are welcome. Ladino understands the urgency of fashion emergencies and is willing to shift priorities to meet tight deadlines.

Ladino’s journey is a tale of passion and perseverance. Once a top designer in Colombia, he pursued fashion despite familial pressures to become a lawyer. After graduating from the prestigious Arturo Tejada Cano School of Fashion Design, he owned three boutiques, dressing celebrities and executives. His journey took him to New York, where he worked with Broadway
and film productions. In Manhattan, Ladino’s path crossed with Michael Remez. Their meeting was serendipitous, leading to a dynamic partnership. Remez, who spent seven years in Japan running a language school and working with a top fashion company, brought invaluable business insight. Both baalei teshuva, they started in Monsey before finding their perfect location in Teaneck.

When you contact Ladino Couture, you’ll first speak with Remez, who gathers details for Ladino to begin. He can arrange for measurements to be taken privately at the studio or in your home. Ladino transforms your ideas into sketches, advising on the best colors and styles. “In three hours, Ari will have a sketch on his iPad,” Remez said. “You can suggest changes and choose colors, and I’ll expedite the process.”

Remez anticipates that fashions for simchot, Shabbat and Yom Tov will be the primary focus at the Teaneck workshop. However, Ladino Couture also makes custom-fitted garments for business events and everyday wear. Whether it’s a perfectly tailored men’s suit, black skirt or gown for the mother of the bride or groom, Ladino strives to make every piece a masterpiece.
