Join Lamdeinu throughout the Yamim Noraim season to add vibrancy and meaning to your High Holidays!
(Courtesy of Lamdeinu) Lamdeinu’s High Holiday learning launches Thursday, September 8. On Thursday mornings September 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 11a.m., Rabbi Gedalyah Berger will discuss “Hilkhot Tefillah of the Yamim Noraim: A Convergence of Halacha, Ruchniyut and Hashkafah.” On Thursdays at 12:30 p.m., Rabbi Daniel Fridman continues his signature “Parashah and Haftarah Pointers.” Rabbi Fridman analyzes each week’s Torah and Haftarah readings and explores their connections to the holidays of Tishrei. Both Thursday series are open to men and women and will be given in person.
To gain deeper insight into Sefer Bereishit, join our very own Dean Rachel Friedman, who will lead “Parshanut HaMikra Sefer Bereishit: The Moral Legacy of Yaakov and His Family” on Mondays, September 12 and 19 and October 3 from 10:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This class is open to women only. On Mondays at 1 p.m., Rabbi Hayyim Angel will delve into the “Less Studied Torah Readings of the Chagim: Vayikra 16, 18, 23” and consider why they are read in the holiday season. Rabbi Angel’s class is open to men and women. Both Monday classes will be given in person.
On Tuesday September 20 from 10:15-11:30 a.m., Channa Lockshin Bob will offer a class on Zoom entitled “Eating on Yom Kippur in the Halachah and Aggadah.” This shiur is open to men and women.
On Wednesdays September 14, 21 and 28 from 10:15-11:30 a.m., Rabbi Yitzchak Twersky will deliver a series on Zoom entitled “The Aggadot of the Chagim: A Transforming Experience.” This is a unique opportunity to analyze aggadot that shed new light on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot and elevate your holiday experience. The series is open to men and women.
All Lamdeinu High Holiday classes scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays will take place in person in the Beit Midrash at Congregation Beth Aaron in Teaneck. If you are not able to attend a class in person, we are happy to accommodate your needs. All Tuesday and Wednesday classes will take place on Zoom. Each Lamdeinu class is self-contained—please feel free to join at any time.
