Lamdeinu will be hosting its third annual Yom Ha’atzmaut event this Tuesday, May 2, with a day-long celebration for women including tefillah, breakfast, lunch, shira, divrei Torah and more.
Attendees will enjoy tefillah chagigit led by Dr. Ravital Korn and divrei Torah from Dean Rachel Friedman. Breakfast will be served followed by Israeli music, personal reminiscences of Israeli life, lunch and Israeli film.
This year is particularly special as we recognize 50 years since the victory of the Six-Day War and the reunification of Jerusalem. “Those of us who remember the euphoria of that period, even as young children, feel uniquely joyous this year,” says Dean Rachel Friedman. “Celebrating together as a community reinvigorates our love and dedication to the State of Israel,” said Ruth Hartstein, program coordinator.
This event is open to the women of the community and will run from 9 to 2:15 p.m. at Congregation Beth Aaron, 950 Queen Anne Rd.
Covert is $25. Sponsorship opportunities at varying levels are available.
