(Courtesy of Lamdeinu) Lamdeinu is proud to honor Mrs. Judy Schiff, at its 10th Anniversary Chanukah Breakfast on Sunday, December 8, at 9:15 a.m.. The breakfast will take place at Congregation Beth Aaron at 950 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck.
Mrs. Schiff has resided in Fort Lee for the past 13 years. She holds degrees from Brandeis University and Hebrew Teachers’ College, as well as a library degree from Simmons College. She spent much of her career at Hebrew College as a librarian, where she shared her passion for Jewish learning with others. She was married for 62 years to Seymour (Shalom) Schiff, z”l, who shared her love for Torah, Israel and the Hebrew language. She is the mother of four children, grandmother of 15, and great-grandmother of 28 in America and Israel.
Mrs. Schiff’s dedication to Lamdeinu is inspiring. Her enthusiastic participation in Torah study, especially in the Parshanut HaMikrah class with Dean Rachel Friedman, contributes greatly to Lamdeinu’s learning environment. Her warmth, curiosity and commitment to Torah study are deeply felt by her fellow learners.
The Lamdeinu Breakfast program will include a Dvar Torah by Dean Rachel Friedman, recitation of Tehillim, words of Torah and inspiration from Mrs. Schiff and some delicious maatamim.
