Lavy House Live to Present Windowsill Garden

Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey’s Lavy House Live Series will be presenting “How to Create Your Own Windowsill Garden” on Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, June 20 11 a.m., at the Lavy House, 748 E. Broad Street, Westfield. The two-part series will teach you how to create and care for your garden in your own home, and then share recipes with produce grown in our gardens.

The program will be presented by JFSCNJ Garden Coordinator Tre Lanier. Born in Florida, Tre relocated to Union County with his family as a youngster and discovered the benefits of veganism and combined that passion for nature and its health benefits. His dual position as an associate in the JFSCNJ Charlotte Shak Food Pantry and Garden Coordinator, affords him the opportunity to utilize his skills to benefit members of our community.

The program is funded by the Lavy House and the Standish Foundation. Light refreshments will be served (kashrut observed). Ample parking is available in the Temple Emanu-El lot.

Contact: [email protected] or call 908-352-8375, to register for this program.
