On Wednesday, May 27, Ben Porat Yosef second grade students had a special visit with numismatist Yosef Baker, who studies, collects, buys and sells U.S. and world coins. He told the students about the history of money and showed them some ancient and special coins from around the world. As an added special treat, BPY eighth grade student Daniel Ptashny exhibited his own coin collection as well. Daniel told the students about coins from around the world and explained how they can start their own collections. At the end of the presentation Mr. Baker and Daniel gave each student a few coins to jump start their numismatic careers.
