Students at Tiferet of Teaneck took their Tishrei learning beyond the classroom! After a trip to Alstede Farms, the students turned their freshly picked apples into delicious Rosh Hashanah treats at a baking workshop led by Leah Miller of Frosted by Leah. After studying the halachot of Yom Kippur, the Tiferet students traveled to the Baum Homestead in Jackson, New Jersey to learn the basics of moccasin making and chicken husbandry. They then used their newly gained skills to sew their own pair of non-leather slippers in time for Yom Kippur.
