Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

In preparation for Rosh Hashana the pre-k class of the Lauren Elise Bier Nursery School learned all about the process of making honey. They learned that the bees gather the nectar, convert the nectar to honey, ripen the honey to dry it out, and seal the honey comb with wax. Inspired by the real honeycombs the children used this technique to decorate their honey dishes and look forward to using them on Rosh Hashanah.

The class also had a special visit from Rabbi Eliezer Zwickler, head Rabbi of AABJ&D who blew the many different sounds of the shofar. The children were so excited that they had the opportunity to see everything that they have been learning all about
