The Tiny Tots class of the Lauren Elise Bier Nursery School celebrated kindness in their classroom. They did this by taking turns playing with toys, handing out water bottles during snack and lunch, helping to push the non-walkers in cars and in the buggy during gym time, giving hugs, using gentle touch and sharing giggles during bubble play.
The question of the month was: How many shapes can you find in the classroom? The children explored shapes: circles, squares and stars by going on a scavenger hunt and working with shape puzzles and magnet tiles. The books that were read were “Pete the Cat,” “Teeth are not for Biting,” “Hands are not for Hitting,” “Shape by Shape” and “Big Box of Shapes.”
