The streets of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are turning into the streets of London and New York City, while the left-wing Israeli media continue to not only harm and encourage disrupting Israeli civilization, but their reach has now impacted the streets of Teaneck! At last week’s town council meeting, one of the participants stated that ZAKA was accused by one of these publications as exploiting Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack to campaign for donations and therefore justified the protests against ZAKA this past Monday evening. It continues to be noteworthy throughout these past six months that the main agitators throughout this ordeal have been from the left.
I communicated with the editors at Israel National News and they suggested that the American Jewish community, particularly the Jewish community in Teaneck, email the editors at the Times of Israel (Ha’aretz as well) and provide accountability and insight into the words and headlines being espoused by these organizations. You can write something like the following, but feel free to edit and change as you see fit:
Dear Editor,
I am an American Jewish citizen living in the township of Teaneck. I encourage you to consider a bit more thoughtfully the consequences of the flashy headlines your publication promotes. As a result of the headline in February stating “ZAKA exploited Hamas’s October 7 attack to campaign for donations – report” you put the Jewish citizens of Teaneck at risk. There is so much hatred of Jews currently in the world; we urge you to take a stand on the right side of history and stand up as proud citizens of Israel, rather than cowering in fear each time Israel is accused of doing something wrong. It continues to disappoint your readers that you point the finger at Jews.
