Howdy friends! We’re just back from a country music tour in Nashville, Tennessee. The Grand ‘Ole Opry was quite an experience, as was the rest of our adventure. D.J. Al’s colleague and friend Country Yossi is a fan as well. Country folks have a special charm. Ringo Starr of Beatles fame is dabbing into producing country music himself these days.
Alex Clare has put out a new album. Our favorite song is “Rebuild Again” in collab with Thank You Hashem Nation. He is also joining a Chanukah concert in Florida with Avraham Fried and Shulem Lemmer. Speaking of concerts, there are many on the way for the winter zman, including the return of Ishay Ribo who always fills up venues with his inimitable style.
Akiva Hart, who recently made aliyah with his beautiful family, has opened a dance school for boys and adult males. He uses Jewish music as his background for teaching hip-hop, among other things. Long-time friend of singer Nissim Black, the two collaborate often. Dance is a great form of healthy expression, especially during wartime.
How about the “Trump dance?” We miss the rallies along with the concluding dance. As President-elect Trump dances his way back into the White House, may he be safe and well.
Eitan Katz and Naftali Kempeh’s “Shma Beni” is just out and very special. Ari and Yanky Hill released “Ma Ani Mevakesh,” another terrific song. We especially love duets and collabs.
With the earlier Shabbosim upon us, holidays, and school breaks, the time is ripe for travel. We love to “get curious” and explore. With Kislev being our favorite month and Chanukah fast approaching, we wish everyone a good, safe and cozy zman filled with connection and music.
Our colleague Zev Brenner appeared on WABC Radio morning host Sid Rosenberg’s show. Both will be in attendance as the Rosenbergs are honored at the One Israel Fund dinner.
In the zechus of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, HY”D, Chabad emissary, who was unfortunately and shockingly lost in the UAE, we have taken on extra mitzvos in order to increase light and music in the world as well as support others: as a chaplain, as civilians with heart, and as music broadcasters. Although we are not members of Chabad, we are great admirers and feel very strongly that at times like these “We are all Chabad” and pray for Klal Yisroel’s safety.
May we hear of no more sorrows and may we share victories and simchos together in more ways than one. Each of us has something special to add. Thank you Hashem/God!
