Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Howdy friends! Now that we’re enjoying “the most wonderful time of the year” with some folks frosting over on the East Coast, some enjoying the warmth of the Sunshine state, and our IDF and brave Israeli citizens fighting the good fight, we look forward to Chanukah and lighting up the nights out loud, indoors or out.

The Maccabeats have a new Chanukah “Wicked” medley. Yes, it’s wicked good. Yes, it’s a spoof on the story “Wicked.” Has anybody seen Kosha Dillz having fun in New York City in his dreidel costume? I hear he’s drawing a lot of attention and providing much needed inspiration.

Israeli superstar Ishay Ribo is a man of many talents. We wish him mazel tov on his son’s bar mitzvah. Ribo was center stage in comforting the Neutra family after hostage Omer’s loss. He’s got some concerts coming up in New York and Miami which are worth the trip.

Yossi Hecht and Benny Friedman collaborated on a masterpiece, “Nothing Holding You Back.” That message and motto happens to be one very close to my heart and Reb Yossi is the ultimate example of persevering through challenges in life. A beautiful video accompanies the song.

Tali Yess has put out a teaser that his new single, “Calling My Name,” is coming soon and is sure to touch hearts and souls. Stay tuned for that one. Meanwhile, Alex Clare and Matisyahu have joined forces to release “Spread Light” via Thank You Hashem Nation. Two special talents for the price of one. Also from TYH & DJ Farbreng: “Neshama on Fire” by Chaim Ghoori.

Father and son Rabbi Benzion and Luzy Klatzko have released “Eileh Varechev.” Family talent at its finest. Yaakov Shwekey’s new song, “Galgalim,” is dance-worthy. “Mi Adir” by Berel Faiden is hot off the press. Mayer Engel’s premier album, “Mayer,” is noteworthy and worth a listen. Shmueli Ungar’s “Hashem Needs Every Yid” is a great song with an even greater message.

Sir Paul McCartney closed out his recent concert in England with a surprise guest at the climax. When Ringo Starr came out on stage, the crowd went wild. These guys are no youngsters yet still rocking and bringing fans great joy. The reunion was a highlight. These two are pro-Israel by the way. More celebrities join the Israel cause each and every day.

Everybody loves Adam Sandler’s Chanukah song. DJ Al says beware, there are many versions, some “safer for kids” than others. WABC radio is always committed to broadcasting live, with their talent remaining on air during all holidays in order that no one should be lonely. To those who are on their own or who feel alone: as a chaplain and as folks with heart, we hear you and invite you to consider us your family by choice.

May 2025 ring in a new calendar year filled with good news on all fronts, b”H! Out with the old and in with the new. Freilichen Chanukah! Thank you Hashem!
