Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Chodesh Tov! May Chodesh Adar and Purim bring joy to all, revealed miracles, simchas, lots of music, and most importantly, the return of our hostages and soldiers in safety b’ezrat H”!

We were sorry to hear of the passing of Chazan Bentzion Miller. My family has always enjoyed chazonus, including in our multi-minyan shul, among the Sefardim and guests.

Our shul hosted Israeli singer “Akiva” who spent Shabbos and performed a blowout concert. What everyone may not know is that he performed privately for a woman suffering from ALS, in her home. It is remarkable how music elicits response at times where nothing else does. Wishing her a refuah shelaima along with all cholei Yisroel. On that note, our radio station is adding a new public service show hosted by a blind fellow sharing experiences.

Sharon Avilchak and Udi David put out a beautiful new duet, “Nogea Ba’orot”—check it out. Aviad’s “Ima Toda” is a terrific tribute to his mother. Watch the music video as his mom looks on with nachas. The cool golden classic car among other settings adds to the fun.

Moshe Auslander, old friend of my son Joey Newcomb, and visitor to our home, has put out “One Place” via Thank You Hashem Nation. Reb Judah Mischel wrote a beautiful article in a recent Thank You Hashem Nation weekly Shabbos newsletter, enhancing Shabbos kodesh.

I saw this headline: “Moments before his chuppah: Singer Chaim Horowitz with a brand new release—Ach Toiv!” Well, good timing. Mazel tov is in order. Great song, too.

“Shalom” by Lipa Schmeltzer is one of his latest, sure to be a hit. “Lomir Dertzeilen” by Ahrele Samet and Aaron Razel is another great new release. As our singers are busy gearing up, DJ Al and I are considering going country for Purim. The Nashville trip left its mark, LOL.

“Shoshanat Yaakov!”—Hanagid and baal tefilla Moti Fixler Host Dudi Kalish and the Malchut Choir is a fun music video. We as a klal need it. We have been through so much collectively. I wind down with soothing piano tunes and multiple nonfiction library books. DJ Leibidig Al enjoys live audio from nightly Grand Ole Opry performances. I know as a chaplain, that healing is in order—together. There is no substitute for human connection.

We love the new “Olam: One World. One Heart. One Album,” with multiple performers in sync. We’ll leave the singer list as a surprise. Let us know what you think. My one word is “unity.” May we celebrate unity and healing as one people with one heart. Thank you Hashem!
