As a proud resident of New Jersey, I am also equally proud of Montclair State University’s president. You have taken a firm stand on doing what’s right in denying pro-Palestinian groups from demonstrating and raising funds on the MSU campus. In today’s atmosphere when so many university presidents, faculty and students opt out from doing what’s right, and instead capitulate to pressures based on political, intersectional, woke, and media considerations, it is refreshing to see you act on your conscience and better judgment, which is not always easy.
The Gaza War was initiated by a brutal and savage rampage against innocent, unsuspecting Israeli civilians. Fighting back against this brutal assault is not genocide, it is self defense.
Israel has many Arabs in its workforce, government and even army. That is not genocide, it is democracy.
In contrast, none of its Arab neighbors can say the same, and have been trying to wipe Israel off the map since before it was even established. This is genocide, it is not justice.
Again congratulations on a firm stand based on convictions and not on convenience. May you continue to lead MSU to attain bigger, better and more moral heights.
