Thank You for Participating in the Renewal Shabbaton!
On behalf of the Renewal staff and volunteers and, most of all, our kidney donors and recipients, I would like to thank all those who participated in the Renewal Shabbaton in Bergenfield/Teaneck this past Shabbos. From BMOB Friday night to the Oneg at the Burgs’, Rabbi Sytner’s speech at Ohr HaTorah, to our Q&A at Beth Abraham for shalosh seudos, your participation in learning about living kidney donation was greatly appreciated. The concert at Beth Aaron, featuring the Willig family on Motzei Shabbos was an inspirational event. Susie Fishbein’s cooking demo combined with hearing from a kidney donor at Grand & Essex made for a stimulating program.
The goal of all of these programs is to educate more people towards the idea of altruistic living kidney donation.
A special thank you to Grand & Essex for hosting and sponsoring the Susie Fishbein program. Also, a very special thank you to the Jewish Link’s own Elizabeth Kratz for all her hard work behind the scenes in getting the word out about Renewal. We could not have done it without you!
