Gluten-Free Gemach Gets Ready for 2016

The Gluten-Free Gemach is about to enter its fourth year! We collect all gluten-free/non-gebrokts Pesach foods to distribute to our gluten-free community members.

The Gluten-Free Gemach will again be collecting foods outside of 69 Wilbur Road in Bergenfield, starting right after Pesach on May 1. There will be a container outside in which to deposit items.

Pick-up hours will be on Wednesday and Thursday, May 4 and 5, and Monday, May 9, from 5-8 pm.

Thank you to all who have donated in the past. We had hundreds of items last year and dozens of recipients who benefited—we want to continue that great effort!

For more information: email us at [email protected], “LIKE” us on Facebook: Gluten Free Gemach or watch for updated information on “TeaneckShuls.”

Teaneck/Bergenfield Donates 1200 Pounds of Matzah This Pesach

Thank you to the Teaneck/Bergenfield community for once again dropping off over 1,200 pounds of matzah to benefit Tomchei Shabbos and other local needy organizations. Our family loves seeing all the children, parents and grandparents dropping off anywhere between 1 and 30 pounds from a week after Purim until Erev Pesach every year. May you all be zoche to have a chag kasher v’sameach!

On a related note, we would like to put in a plug for the post-Pesach food drive that takes place every year at the home of Debby and AZ Rapps at 1499 Sussex Road (corner of Warwick). Hundreds of pounds of food is collected the week after Pesach and donated to local yeshivot and gemachs in need of food. Please drop off your unopened, non-perishable Pesach food on the back deck during daylight hours only.

Chag Sameach!
