Remembering Our Sister-in-Law Linda Schiffman, z”l

We, b”H, read The Jewish Link from cover to cover every week. Once in a while, we see pictures of our grandchildren. Every word is a pearl; Nina’s cake recipe is gevaldig; The Link is righteous reading.

Our sister-in-law Linda Schiffman, z”l, will be in olam haemes for two years. For those who knew her, her matzevah describes her perfectly: “Ohev shalom v’rodeph shalom.” In our family, we were so blessed to have her sister-in-law and aunt for our children and great-aunt for our grandchildren.

She sought peace and loved peace, especially in families in Israel and amongst friends. Linda was an extraordinary mother to her son, Dr. Joshua; and her beautiful daughter, Michelle, a nurse. To her husband, Larry, she was a true aishes chayil, but as a sister-in-law to Phil and me— perfection.

Linda, there are two new family members you would adore, Malory and Eva. We always mention your name when it comes to family members who were always me sameach in every simcha, who always made Hashem smile. You were passionate when besoros tovos were shared. Your shul affiliation was tremendous. You possessed inner and outer beauty. Your intelligence was endless. Preparing for Pesach, you had no loopholes. Your children follow in your footsteps.

Phil and I thank Hashem that we had the opportunity to learn from you. Our kids miss you. You were a role model as their aunt; and Larry is a steady, true brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Josh and Michelle are an exemplary nephew and niece.

Shamayim gained a tzadekes. May your neshama have an aliyah.
