The Leviim Gallery of Crown Heights recently opened its first gallery in Teaneck, New Jersey.
Leviim’s owner, Moshe Frank, said, “Our goal is to expose our artists to the Bergen County community. Through social media we have many people interested in seeing the work of our artists. Seeing artwork in person is very important. Instagram is great for spreading the word, but it just doesn’t do our artists’ work justice.”
The opening highlighted the works of Kadishman and Morris Katz, as well as new up-and-coming artists such as Meira Eisan and Cynthia Rose.
At the opening, chasidic artist Usher Goldhirsch demonstrated his drawing technique to all of the visitors. The opening was attended by local members of the community, including Deputy Mayors Elie Katz and Mark Schwartz.
Jennie Mohl, who is running the gallery, said: “People from the community are very excited to have a place like Leviim on this side of the bridge. We also have had local artists reaching out to have us represent them here. Our goal is to place our artists’ work in the homes in Bergen County and beyond.”
Leviim Gallery in Teaneck is located at 211 West Englewood Ave. To make an appointment, call Jennie Mohl 917-573-7074.
