Linden Congregation Celebrates Israel’s Independence Day

(Courtesy of Anshe Chesed) Anshe Chesed of Linden hosted a vibrant celebration of Yom Ha’Atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, on May 14. Over 100 community members gathered for an evening filled with music, food and activities designed to engage all ages.

Children were at the heart of the festivities, planting flowers in pots and creating colorful cards destined for Israel. Rigel Janette, who attended with his family, commented on the event’s ability to “highlight the joy and excitement” of Yom Ha’Atzmaut. Gabriella Elkaim echoed this sentiment, noting her daughter’s enthusiasm for nurturing the flower she planted, a tangible reminder of the celebration.

The event served as a joyful expression of the congregation’s deep connection to Israel, fostering a sense of shared heritage and cultural pride among all who participated.
