The TABC Jr. Hockey K/1 division championship game was everything you could hope for in youth hockey—intense, emotional and unforgettable. The 7-seed Rangers faced off against the 8-seed Coyotes in a high-energy matchup that had fans on the edge of their seats until the final buzzer.
Both teams came ready to play, and the game stayed neck and neck through the first two periods. In the third, the Rangers surged ahead to a 4—2 lead, but the Coyotes battled back, scoring with under two minutes left to bring it to 4—3. The Rangers held on in the final stretch, securing the win and capping off an incredible season with a league championship.
When the buzzer sounded, the players jumped with joy—so excited to see their hard work all season pay off. At the award ceremony that followed, each player received a trophy to commemorate the moment. Fans were treated to Dippin’ Dots, a beloved league tradition that added a sweet finish to an already amazing day.

Special congratulations to Naftali Horowitz, MVP of the season, and Tzvi Lokshin, MVP of the championship game. And hats off to the Coyotes, who played with heart and intensity from start to finish. Both sets of coaches were proud to see just how far their players had come this season—the improvement across the board was truly impressive.
A big thank you to the league commissioners (Tzvika Poleyeff, Rabbi Ezra Stone, Rabbi Yoni Stone and Donald Fuchs) for running such a phenomenal program. I didn’t ask their permission, but if I may sneak in some free advertising: this league is 11 stars out of 10. It’s non-stop action, yet totally age-appropriate, and welcoming to all types of kids. With an emphasis on skill-building, learning through real game-play and sportsmanship, it’s run as professionally as any youth league out there. Every player gets a custom NHL team jersey with their name and a league badge—just one of the many touches that makes this league special.
To the players, coaches, parents and league staff—thank you for an unforgettable season. Let’s go, Rangers!
