This past week, Rabbi Avrohom Leventhal, executive director of Lema’an Achai, visited the Essex County communities of Livingston and West Orange. Rabbi Leventhal was the scholar in residence at Synagogue of the Suburban Torah in Livingston, speaking three times over Shabbat. Rabbi Leventhal’s wit and humor enhanced the messages he shared.

A well-attended, informative and delicious melave malka was hosted by Lori and Joe Rozehzadeh in West Orange. Alongside Rabbi Leventhal, former West Orange resident and current board member of Lema’an Achai Mitch Rich discussed “Tzedaka and Chesed: Are We Doing It Right?”
