Chana Stiefel, a local author, shared her love of writing with grade five students and encouraged students to persist through the editing process. Stiefel also presented her book, “Let Liberty Rise: How America’s Schoolchildren Helped Save the Statue of Liberty,” which connected with the students’ study of immigration. The presentation concluded with students creating their own, modern-day Statues of Liberty. Yavneh students were so fortunate to enjoy this special visit.
