To commemorate this year’s Days of Remembrance, America’s annual commemoration of the Holocaust led by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Holocaust Survivor Felice Zimmern Stokes of Teaneck, New Jersey traveled to the Museum in Washington, D.C. to witness the unveiling of the permanent inscription of her parents’ names on the Museum’s Donor Wall during a special ceremony on April 8, 2018. In memory of her parents, David and Lydia Zimmern z”l who perished in Auschwitz, it was important for Felice Zimmern Stokes to have their names memorialized at the Museum. Stokes also participated in a symbolic candle lighting ceremony in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and in honor of the survivors. This year marks the Museum’s 25th anniversary, during which the Museum is imploring people to reflect on Holocaust history and ‘Never Stop Asking Why.”
